IFA presidential candidate Martin Stapleton, Oola
IFA ELECTIONS for president and deputy president have commenced in Limerick.
All local members should vote for one of their own in Oola man Martin Stapleton, says Limerick IFA chairman Sean Lavery.
Mr Lavery urges all Limerick members of IFA to return the ballot papers that they received recently in the enclosed prepaid envelope.
“It’s very important that we maximise the vote for Limerick candidate Martin Stapleton,” said Mr Lavery.
There are 3,774 IFA members in Limerick across 51 branches. A large team of Martin’s supporters have been attending IFA hustings throughout the country over the last month, covering locations like Enniscorthy, Cootehill, and Carrick-on-Shannon.
At the same time the team have been carrying out an on the ground canvas of members across many counties.
“While a great response has been received, it’s important that Limerick IFA voters turn out in large numbers. Voters have a choice of attending their local branch meeting and voting using the official ballot paper or if they cannot attend, they can vote by post,” said Mr Lavery.
