Polish charity event The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is coming to Limerick
LIMERICK is to host a local fundraiser as part of the Polish charity event The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (GOCC) this January.
Since 1993, the event has helped to purchase modern medical equipment and support various initiatives aimed at improving the health of children and seniors in Poland.
Now the Polish community in Limerick are to host their own fundraiser - in Dolans on Sunday, January 26.
Organisers promise there will be performances, dances, concerts, animations, a kid’s zone, food and charity auctions.
“This edition our goal is not only to achieve record-breaking fundraising results but also to show how strong the Polish community in Limerick is. We want to prove what we can accomplish together and how wonderful our culture is. We cordially invite everyone to join us, regardless of nationality. Together we can make a difference!” said Sylwia Włodarczyk, co-organiser of the GOCC event in Limerick.
Every year, in January, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity finale engages millions of people worldwide. Limerick, with its vibrant Polish community, has been actively participating in this campaign for a number of years.
