Voters in Limerick's two constituencies have rejected the Care referendum
Voters in Limerick have voted by an overwhelming majority to defeat the proposed amendment to the Constitution in the Care referendum.
According to the official results, announced this Saturday evening, a total of 62,894 people went to the polls across the Limerick City and Limerick County constituencies on Friday.
More than three quarters of voters in each of the constituencies voted No - in line with trends across the country.

The counting of votes for the two Limerick constituencies began at 9am this Saturday at Limerick Racecourse, Patrickswell and concluded shortly after 6pm.
