RESULTS: How Limerick County voted in the Family referendum

LIMERICK County has voted by a significant majority to defeat the proposed amendment to the Constitution in the Family referendum.

The majority of voters in the county voted against the proposed amendment regarding the Family bill.

In the county, 72.62% voted against a change in the constitution, while 27.38% voted in favour of a change.

The total turnout for Limerick County was of 42.60%, as 30,053 of a total electorate of 70,551 cast their votes.

The total of valid poll for the county was of 29,747. 

There were 306 invalid ballot papers for Limerick County.
