Staff and students will get a small sense of what homeless people experience every night I FILE PICTURE
OVER 50 transition year students and 16 staff in a County Limerick school will give up their cosy beds for sleeping bags in the cold outdoors this weekend.
The participants in the John the Baptist Community School' sleep-out will brave the elements this Friday, November 28 from 8pm until 8am on Saturday morning.

John the Baptist Community School’s inaugural sleep-out will raise awareness and funds for four charities - Novas, ISPCC, Jigsaw and IMNDA.
Students must raise a minimum of €100 per sponsorship card.
They will earn every cent as Met Eireann forecasts a mix of cloud and clear spells with scattered showers and the possibility of heavy rain, as well as a chance of hail and thunder.
There is a possibility of longer spells of rain in the west and early on in the night with lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees.
