Deaths in Limerick: Monday, October 14, 2024

The death has occurred of Tom (Tommy) Culhane, O’Donoghue Avenue, Janesboro, Caherdavin and Woodview, Limerick. Originally of Kilfinny, Co. Limerick.

Peacefully, at University Hospital Limerick, on 18th October 2025, in the presence of his loving family.

Tom will be sadly missed by his beloved family, wife Anne, children Michael, Mary, John, Tony, Sarah,Emma and Lisa, his fifteen adored grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister Mary, brothers Mike and Brendan, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, a wide circle of friends and his cherished dog Coco.

Predeceased by his parents Catherine and Michael, brother Robert and sister Therese.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate, on Wednesday, 22nd October from 5pm to 6.30pm. Funeral arriving at Christ the King Church, Caherdavin, on Thursday, 23rd October for Requiem Mass at 11.30am, followed by Burial in Kilcornan Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Florence Hannon (née Mc Quaid), Fairyfield, Parteen, Clare / Trillick, Tyrone / Limerick.

Peacefully in University Hospital Limerick surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her sons Paul and John.

Deeply missed by her heartbroken family, husband John, children Marie, Philip, Breda, Donal, Aisling, Clodagh, Fergal and Brian, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, her 13 adored grandchildren, sisters Agnes and Veronica, godson Dermot, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Florence will repose in Mc Mahon's Funeral Home, Blackwater on Tuesday (21st October) from 6pm to 7:30pm followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church, Parteen. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (22nd October) at 11:30am followed by burial afterwards in Ballycannon Cemetery, Meelick.

The death has occurred of Br Timothy OSB (Edmond) McGrath, Glenstal Abbey, Murroe, Limerick.

October 18th 2025, peacefully at Glenstal Abbey; sadly missed by his brothers and sister, Murray, Declan and Bruinsha; his sisters in law Mary and Mary, nephews, nieces; and his monastic brethren at Glenstal Abbey; and a wide circle of friends, and former colleagues.

Reposing in the Monastery from 3.30 pm until 5.00 pm on Friday 24th October, followed by removal to the Abbey Church. Funeral Mass on Saturday 25th October at 11.30 am, followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery.

Peacefully at University Hospital Limerick on 18th October 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Denis and Margaret. 

Sadly missed by her husband Jerry, sister Anne Moriarty, brothers-in-law Miko, Pako, Johnny and Pat (Moriarty), sisters-in-law Helen (Quinn), Bridie (O'Brien), Bernie (O'Sullivan) and Martina (Fitzgibbon), nieces, nephew, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Sextons Funeral Home, Broadford on Tuesday 21st October from 6pm with Removal at 8pm to St. Ita's Church, Feenagh. Requiem Mass on Wednesday 22nd October at 12.30pm. Burial in Feenagh Cemetery.

October 20th 2025 peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.

Beloved daughter of the late John and Eithne. Dearly loved sister of Billy, Orla and Dervilla. Sadly missed by her uncle Jack, extended family and her many friends. Predeceased by her brother-in-law Terry.
