Deaths in Limerick - Friday, November 1, 2024

The death has occurred of Mary Begley (née Clinton)

Of Shannagh, Fanad, Donegal and the Good Counsel Nursing Home, Kilmallock Road, where she died peacefully.

Predeceased by her husband James, brothers John, Eddie and Peter, her sisters Shiela and Teresa and her nephews Paul Flaherty, Sean Murphy and Paul Clinton. Deeply regretted by her sisters Susanna Flaherty (Britain) and Catherine Power (Limerick), brother-in-law Ned Power, her extended family, kind neighbours and many friends.

May she rest in peace

Mary's remains will arrive at St. Mary's Church, Fanavolty, Fanad at 6pm on Saturday, November 2, to repose overnight. Requiem Mass will be held on Sunday, November 3 at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining graveyard. The requiem Mass will be live streamed on the McAteer Funeral Directors Facebook page.

The death has occurred of Oliver (Ollie) Moran

Of Foynes

Ollie passed away peacefully in University Hospital Limerick surrounded by his loving family on November 1, 2024.

Pre-deceased by his father Dan, mother Mary-Rose, sister Margaret and brother Daniel.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Bridie (nèe Scanlon), sons Ollie, Eamonn Robert and Michael, daughters Josephine (Rothwell), Alma (Egan) and Leeanne, grandchildren, sons in law, daughters in law, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces and a wide circle of family and friends.

May he rest in peace

Reposing at St Senan's Church, Foynes, on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024, from 4-6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, November 4, at 12 noon and can be viewed online followed by burial in Robertstown Cemetery.

House strictly private please.

The death has occurred of Maureen O'Neill (née Murphy)

Of Ballyart House, Brittas and Birr, Offaly

Died peacefully on November 1, 2024, in the loving care of the staff at Milford Nursing Home, Limerick.

Beloved wife of the late Owen S O’Neill. Dearly loved mother to Seán, Maria, Siobhán, Owen, Aoife and Michael. Greatly missed by her adored grandchildren John, Owen, Meghan, Cian, Killian, Oran, Oisin, Keira, Éabha and Diarmuid, her sons-in-law Liam and Shane, daughter-in-law Eleanor and Niamh, her dearest sister Joan (Clohosey) and sisters-in-law Helen and Muiread, nieces, nephews, relatives and many kind neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her parents Seán and Adelaide, her brothers Seán and Joseph, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Reposing at Milford Care Centre on Sunday, November 3, from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday, November 4, at St. Nicholas’ Church, Boher, V94 TW10 at 11.30am and burial afterwards in Abington Cemetery.

oF 'Santa Lucia' Marian Drive, Roxboro Road, Roxboro and Ballysheedy

Late of John Power Insurances, Ballinacurra Road.

On October 31, 2024, peacefully, after a short illness at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband John and son John (Junior)

Sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her residence, 'Santa Lucia' Marian Drive, Roxboro Road, V94NN1N on Sunday, November 3 from 3pm to 5pm.

Removal on Monday, November 4 to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Roxboro Road, to arrive for requiem Mass at 11am followed by cremation service in Shannon Crematorium at 1pm. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Milford Care Centre

Of Turraree, Glin

Died on October 30, 2024, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of UHL. Patrick is predeceased by his loving parents, sister Anna, brothers Arthur, Tom and brother-in-law Joe Lambert (Gort). Beloved brother of Mary, Bridget and Phyllis; brothers Morgan, Maurice, John, Michael and Joe; sisters-in-law Anna (Dublin), Pauline (Tralee), Ena (Fermoy), Bridget (Askeaton), Finola (Dublin); special friend Helen, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family, very kind neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral arrangements: Reposing at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin (V94C66) on Friday, November 1 2024 until 8.00pm. Requiem Mass for Patrick will take place on Saturday, November 2, at 1.00pm in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Glin followed by burial in Kilfergus Cemetery, Glin.

Of Shankill , Dublin and Croom, Limerick

Died peacefully on October 31, 2024, at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. Dearly loved by his partner Sylvia, much loved brother of Kay, Tony and the late JJ, predeceased by his wife Betty; sadly missed by his children Eithne, Susanne, Aileen, Paul and Barry, together with their families, sisters-in-law Mary and Elaine, nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Funeral Mass on Monday, November 4 at 10.00am in St. Anne’s Church, Shankill, Co Dublin followed by burial in Reilig Mhuire Cemetery, Croom, Limerick at approximately 2.30pm. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Vincent de Paul.
