Suspected burglar due in court following break-in at Limerick store

The man was arrested on Thursday

A MAN is due in court this Friday morning after he was charged in connection with a break-in in Limerick city on New Year’s Eve.

The suspect, who is aged in his 30s, was arrested on Thursday evening by gardai investigating the burglary incident which happened at a premises on Bedford Row on Monday.

“Following a preliminary investigation, gardaí from the Henry Street district arrested a man in his 30s yesterday, January 3 2019,” said a garda spokesperson.

The man was questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and has since been charged.

He was detained overnight pending his court appearance.
