Man charged over major drug seizure in Limerick village and north Cork town

GARDAI have issued an update this Monday morning on the seizure of €310,600 of suspected illegal drugs during searches in Bruree and Charleville on Friday, January 2nd.

A man in his 40s has been charged in connection with the drug seizure. 

The man is expected to appear before Limerick District Court this morning.

A woman in her 30s was previously detained in connection with the drug seizure but was later released without charge. 

A garda spokesperson stated that they are continuing to investigate the sale and supply of drugs in the Southern region and that investigations are ongoing.
