GARDAÍ are investigating a serious assault in County Limerick.
The incident occurred at a location in the village of Patrickswell at approximately 9pm on Thursday, September 11.
According to gardai, a man, aged in his 60s, was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
Gardai described the man's injuries as “serious”.
“A technical examination of the scene was carried out,” said a garda spokesperson.
Investigations are ongoing.
