Gardai appeal for witnesses after house shot up in Limerick village

GARDAI have issued an appeal for witnesses this Tuesday after a house was shot up in Castleconnell over the weekend.

A garda spokesperson said a firearm was discharged at approximately 5.40pm on Saturday afternoon.

"A domestic premises was damaged during the incident. No injuries have been reported at this time," said the spokesperson.

Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.

They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen a black car in the Scanlon Park area of Castleconnell between 5.30pm and 5.50pm.

"Any road users with camera footage (dash-cam) are asked to make that footage available.

"Anyone with information is asked contact Henry Street garda station at 061 212 400, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any garda station," said the garda spokesperson.

Enquiries are ongoing.
