SHOTS were fired at a house the day after a car was set alight and a home attacked in the same County Limerick village.
Limerick Live understood the two incidents in Castleconnell are connected.

The gun attack occurred in broad daylight on Saturday afternoon in Scanlon Park - a housing estate on the edge of the picturesque village on the banks of the Shannon.
A number of men wearing balaclavas were involved in the shooting, which took place while children were out playing, before speeding off.
A garda spokesperson confirmed officers are investigating the discharge of a firearm in Castleconnell, County Limerick on the afternoon of Saturday, August 9.
“At approximately 5.40pm, gardaí received a report of a number of shots fired at a residential property in the Scanlon Park area.
“It is understood that the house was unoccupied at the time of the incident,” said a garda spokesperson.
No injuries have been reported. The scene was cordoned off for technical and forensic examination by gardai.
Meanwhile, in the early hours of Friday morning, a group of four people wearing masks and hoods covering their faces approached a car parked on the road outside a residential premises in Castleconnell.
Members of the group were carrying what appeared to be axes, which they used to cause damage to the vehicle and house before setting the car alight. The perpetrators then sped off in the car they arrived in, driven by another individual. No injuries were reported.
The background to the two attacks is not known but they are believed to be connected.
