GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run collision which occurred on one busy road in Limerick.
The incident occurred on Thursday, February 13, near Aldi on the Dublin Road at approximately 3.30pm and involved a cyclist and a vehicle.
"While crossing at the pedestrian crossing in heavy traffic the female cyclist was struck by a white car," confirmed Sergeant Michelle O’Halloran, crime prevention officer at Henry Street garda station.

"The pedal cyclist was knocked to the ground and the driver of the white car spoke to her briefly and then left the scene."
The cyclist attended UHL that afternoon and was treated for her injuries.
"This area would have been busy at the time with many potential witnesses," Sgt O'Halloran continued.
