Vintage club to host annual charity road run

KNOCKDOWN Vintage Club will host their Annual Charity Road Run later this month to help raise money for two worthy causes, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and Little Blue Heroes.

The west Limerick event will take place on Sunday, March 30 and the club welcomes all vintage cars, tractors, trucks and bikes. Registration will commence at 11am and light refreshments will be served before and after the run.

Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and Little Blue Heroes are the beneficiaries of this year’s event. A raffle will be held on the day with numerous prizes including: 1st prize: €400 voucher for Brehon Hotel sponsored by the Langan Family, 2nd prize: €150 voucher sponsored by Adams of Glin, 3rd prize: Monster Hamper sponsored by Moran Painting, Decorating & Maintenance and 4th prize: €100 voucher sponsored by Mullane’s Quick Pick and many more prizes.

A special draw for all those who participate will take place immediately after the run. There will also be some exciting prizes in store to celebrate Mother's Day.

A super auction will start at 4pm on the day of the charity run where everything from a needle to an anchor will be available at bargain prices. There will be music by Different Sounds from 5pm to 7pm.

Since its establishment in 2010, Knockdown Vintage Club has raised in excess of €80,000 for numerous charities.
