EMPLOYEES of the Speed Fibre Group offices in Limerick took part in a complete outdoor makeover for the Midwest School for the deaf.

10 laptops were also donated to the Limerick school by Speed Fibre Group who are making an effort to support and improve post-primary student education.

This effort was made as part of a charity partnership between the two organisations.

Over 60 employees from Speed Fibre Group took part in the volunteering activity at the Midwest School for the Deaf in Limerick to help enhance the school's appearance and create a more inviting outdoor space for the students.

The project took place over three days during which the team from Speed Fibre Group engaged in a range of outdoor tasks.

The entire exterior of the school was painted, giving the building a fresh and welcoming appearance.

Play areas in the school playground were renovated, repaired, and painted, including swings and slides, to create safer and more enjoyable facilities for the children.

The school grounds were landscaped, including gardening, trimming, and tidying up to enhance the outdoor environment for learning and recreation.

Maria Allen, Principal at Midwest School for the Deaf, praised the positive impact of working with Speed Fibre Group, “The students are thrilled with the transformation of their yard, and excited to play and enjoy their new space. In addition, we also really appreciate the donation of 10 laptops. These are a significant addition to the resources we can offer our post-primary students and are much appreciated”.

Lisa Gillivan, Marketing Manager and Head of the CSR Committee at Speed Fibre Group, said, “We are incredibly proud of our employees, who each volunteered for a full day, for their enthusiasm and hard work in making a meaningful difference to the students and teachers at this inspiring school”.
