Limerick ladies out in force!
BARBIE pink was my inspiration for my favourite time of year, the Galway Races!
Attending Ladies Day is always a highlight of my social calendar and this year was no different. The style, glamour and elegance was out of this world!
Bright colours and extraordinary head pieces were on everyone’s checklist this year, and the ladies nailed it perfectly.
I wore Phoenix V as I do love her designs, while my hat was the one and only Carol Kennelly.
The beautiful Maritess McCarthy from the Philippines and Douglas in Cork was announced this year’s winner of Best Dressed Lady. What a gorgeous lady and deserving winner!
Maritess wowed with a red and gold ensemble and purchased her outfit while visiting her home country of the Philippines last year - perhaps one of the furthest places travelled to secure their couture for the day!
Maritess’s dress was Raffaella, while her headpiece was made by Elizabeth Christina Design, also known as Tina Coyne, from Cork.
Judges on the day had their work truly cut out for them, as the fashion was breathtaking.
Women from the length and breadth of the country really did pull out all the stops, and I for one love to see it.
The effort is so admirable and what is better, as a lady, than feeling a million dollars in your attire?
The Best Dressed Lady competitions on the day were judged by well-known stylist and owner of Catwalk Modelling Agency, Mandy Maher, who was joined by Kieran O’Malley, Digital Marketing Manager for the Connacht Hospitality Group, and guest judge, Rachel Gorry, a popular social media influencer.
Anne-Marie Corbett from Galway was crowned the person with Best Hat, as she stunned in a vibrant orange, yellow and red head-piece by Galway milliner, Emily Jean.
