Collision on motorway outside Limerick as truck overturns

FOUR vehicles were involved in a road traffic collision on the M7 motorway just outside of Limerick.

The incident is believed to have been caused by a truck overturning on the motorway between junctions 27 and 28 just outside Newport, County Tipperary.

There are reports that there are delays on the Dublin Road just outside Castletroy due to the incident.

Units from Limerick Fire and Rescue attended the scene but have now left the area but Newport fire services remain at the scene.

Units from An Garda Síochána and Ambulance services also attended the scene.

It is understood that no serious injuries were sustained in the collision.

The incident was reported at around 12.30pm this Friday afternoon.
