Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup trophy
SEVEN Limerick clubs begin their Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup campaigns this weekend.
Last season's beaten finalists Old Crescent open their 2025/2026 bid for honours when hosting local rivals Garryowen in one of two Limerick derbies in the opening round. The meeting of Crescent and the 'Light Blues' will take place at Takumi Park on Friday night at 7.30pm.
Crescent's hopes of earning a first ever Munster Senior Challenge Cup success were dashed following a 32-20 loss to Nenagh Ormond in their novel final clash at Thomond Park last March.
