My week with Celia Holman-Lee: A glitzy event to celebrate Galentines

WITH LOVE in the air, with Valentine’s Day just over us, I must tell you all about the Galentines event that I did in collaboration with the Savoy Hotel.

My Holman Lee Agency models showcased fashion, grace and glamour through the event space while women of all ages, from all walks of life and experiences enjoyed afternoon tea.

There is nothing like an event in the Savoy and I have collaborated with them various times over the years. The last event I had the pleasure of attending in the Savoy before the Galentines was my book launch, which was another glitzy affair, so it was indeed wonderful to be back again working with one of the most luxurious bespoke spaces that the city has to offer.

Our fabulous models donned fashions for the Irish designers Marion Murphy-Cooney, Original Ireland, and House of Kerry - and the audience, as well as myself, were simply blown away by the amazing flair, prints and silhouettes on display.

The afternoon was a celebration of friendship, fashion and creativity, that had everyone leaving the event feeling energised and inspired.

While I presented the cat walk and launched the event, there was also Jack Moloney who MC’d the event with laughs and anecdotes, and a health coach Elva O'Conaire who spoke on wellness and self-care, which really struck a chord with me - as well as the audience.

I believe as women it is so important that we make time for ourselves and hold space to celebrate one another. The buzz in the room was simply incredible. I hope that this fantastic energy will follow me through the year beyond the month of February!
