My week with Celia Holman Lee: Runways and relaxation at the Strand Hotel

STEPPING onto the stage at two dazzling events in the Strand Hotel was both an honour and a thrill!

Over the past week, Limerick shone brightly thanks to two unforgettable gatherings, each one bursting with confidence, style, and community spirit.

First up, I attended the fabulous Self-Care Sessions, hosted by VIP and STELLAR magazines in collaboration with Benecol.

What an evening it was!

Editor of VIP Bianca Luykx led us through an array of inspiring discussions, while Limerick’s own Sinéad O’Brien of Vacious By Sinead shared her empowering journey of body confidence.

No better women to sparkle and shine on that stage!

A highlight of the night was the Benecol Women’s Heart Health Panel and to top it all off, we had a meditation session from Amber Doyle, Reiki master, leaving us all feeling utterly refreshed.

And of course, the luxurious €100 goodie bags were the icing on the cake!

A day later, the hotel transformed once again into a high-fashion spectacle for the 47th annual Laurel Hill Schools Spring Summer Fashion Show!

With over 500 guests filling the room, the evening kicked off with a stunning pre-show exhibition of student artwork, paired with live music from the incredibly talented school musicians.

Then came the main event - the runway!

36 fabulous fifth-year students took to the stage, modeling breathtaking ball gowns from Dani’s Closet and sleek sportswear from So Hockey, while the crowd went wild as the male teachers modelled style from Sexton’s Menswear.

Both events truly highlighted the Strand Hotel as a top-tier venue in Limerick, and what a joy it was to be part of it all!
