Company expands footprint in Limerick

A NATIONAL training college has launched its recruitment division at its Limerick offices.

ICE College is a private training provider, which has offices around the country including at Cathedral Place in the city centre.

It offers vocational and professional courses aimed at helping people gain qualifications or upskill for employment, often through Pitman Training, an international vocational training group.

Now as a follow-on to this, it has launched its own agency, ICE Jobs, which is operating out of its training centre here in Limerick.

A community barbecue event took place to mark the opening of the Limerick offices with local employers, business leaders, clients, partners and community representatives all in attendance.

It’s hoped this expansion will create new opportunities for employers seeking talent and individuals looking to advance their careers.

ICE group managing director Val Baynes said: “We're here to support people who are changing their own lives. Whether through recruitment, training, payroll or workforce solutions, we help people progress throughout their career journey while supporting employers through changing economic environments. We're delighted to bring 54 years of experience and expertise to employers and jobseekers across the Mid-West.”

Elizabeth Cox, chief revenue officer at ICE Group, said the company is committed to supporting the continued growth of the region.

“Limerick has experienced tremendous growth and development in recent years, and we want to contribute to that success by connecting employers with great people and helping talented candidates build meaningful careers in the Mid-West,” she said.

Chairman of Limerick City and County Council’s economic committee, Cllr Peter Doyle was in attendance at the launch and said: “We want Limerick to be the best place to start and grow a business. Companies need to invest in their people, and it's great to see services like these supporting local employers and employees.”
