Big update on popular Limerick venue's re-opening

Popular nightspot was last operational before Covid-19 in early 2020
POPULAR nightspot Costello’s Tavern is expected to re-open shortly – with some locals hinting it could be as soon as Tuesday night.
Although this has not been confirmed by Limerick Live, staff at the iconic nightclub, which last poured pints for the public before the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, were gearing up to open the doors again to the premises at Dominic Street in the city centre.
The building has in recent weeks been given a fresh lick of green paint, replacing the cream-beige coating it had previously.
Work is taking place on the inside of the building.
Limerick Live understands that beer taps were fitted in the bars on Friday morning.
Known widely as ‘Costies,’ the venue has been a cornerstone of local nightlife since it opened in 1970.
It is likely it will still be €5 entry in the evenings when it does re-open.
