The shoe shop is close just before Easter
LIMERICK city centre has suffered a fresh blow after it emerged a shoe shop will close in the next few weeks.
Scottish retailer Schuh has confirmed it will be shuttering its store in Bedford Row on Saturday, April 19 - the day before Easter Sunday.
It has had a presence in Limerick city centre since 2006.

A second store opened at the Crescent Shopping Centre in Dooradoyle back in 2014.

A spokesperson for the retailer confirmed the closure.
"We will be contacting local customers and advising them that their next closest store is The Crescent Shopping Centre. All our Bedford Row employees have been offered alternative roles at Schuh," they added.
Schuh, which is the German word for shoe, was founded in 1980 in Livingstone, Scotland.
It has 132 stores across Britain and Ireland, with approximately 4,000 staff employed.
