The coffee shop has traded since 2011
A COFFEE shop and restaurant on the doorstep of Limerick's King John's Castle has closed suddenly.
Jack Monday's Coffee House, located at a landmark unit beside Thomond Bridge in the city centre did not open this Wednesday morning.
A notice was posted on the door of the venue, from the cafe's team.
It confirmed the closure, a decision they say was taken "with heavy hearts".

"This decision was not an easy one and we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who walked through our doors. Fiona, Kevin and our incredible staff have truly chwerished serving this wonderful community - sharing coffee, conversation and countless special moments along the way," they stated.
"Jack Mondays was more than just a restaurant to us. It was a place where connections were made and we will dearly miss all of you. Thank you for your loyalty, your laughter and your support over the years."
"Though this chapter has come to an end, the memories will stay with us forever," they said.
Jack Monday's Coffee House first opened in 2011. For many years, prior to this, it was the Treaty Bar, owned and ran by former Mayor of Limerick Kevin Kiely.
