FOUR longstanding employees have joined the top team at one Limerick-headquartered company.
Kirby Group Engineering has announced a series of appointments at board level which have taken effect in recent weeks.
These include the elevation of four team members to the company’s board, while two existing board members have taken on new roles.
The colleagues joining the company’s board are: Donal Lynch, appointed as group finance director, Mikey Ryan, appointed as group operations director, Ruairí Ryan, appointed as group operations director and Michael Murray, appointed as group business development director and board-level director for power and renewables.
The two existing board members taking on new roles are: John Grogan, who has been appointed as chief operations officer, and Conor O’Brien, who has been appointed as chief commercial officer.

Henry McCann, who took on the role of CEO in January, said: “I have worked alongside each of these colleagues for many years and I have seen the benefit they have brought to Kirby at each stage of their careers.
“I’d like to welcome our newest board members and look forward to seeing their contribution to the highest level of company leadership.
“I’m also confident John Grogan and Conor O’Brien will bring their first-class expertise to their new roles to the benefit of Kirby’s future growth”.
The Limerick HQ company recorded revenue of more than €700m in 2024.
Kirby employs over 1,800 people and has developed a first-class reputation in the life sciences, data centre, industrial, power and renewables sectors. It is an Irish mechanical and electrical engineering firm, privately owned since its foundation by Tom and Michael Kirby in 1964.
