IT WAS a knockout for Limerick boxer Lee Reeves after he cut the ribbon at his local pharmacy.
The 29-year-old southpaw, who has 12 professional wins under his belt, joined staff of McCabe’s pharmacy at the Roxboro Shopping Centre.
The chemist rebranded after Lloyd’s Pharmacy bought McCabe’s.

It moved to rebrand its pharmacies in Limerick and across Ireland to McCabe’s.
Despite the change, manager of the Roxboro branch Catherine Duggan says it’s very much business as usual.
“We still continue to offer all our services: the blood pressure checks, the blister packing of medication. It’s all the same services, and all the same colleagues. Not much has changed, apart from the name above the door,” she said.
McCabe’s employs 11 full and part-time staff in Roxboro.
To mark the rebranding, there was facepainting, a cake stall, free blood pressure checks, goodie bags and raffle prizes.
For Lee, being asked to cut the ribbon at a chemist he used growing up was a big honour.
“I was born and bred in Southill, my grandparents are from Kennedy Park, where I now live. It’s the biggest pharmacy in my community. So them asking me to cut the ribbon is an absolute honour,” the Survivor UK contestant said.
