French skincare store to close after 20 years in Limerick city

AFTER 20 years in business, skincare store L’Occitane en Provence is set to close in Limerick city.

Located on Thomas Street, the France-based chain which sells skincare, bath and hair products will close in February, it has been confirmed.

Making products with natural ingredients, the shop closure is another loss to the city which has seen a number of businesses announce closures in recent weeks.

These include Clohessy’s Bar on Denmark Street which closed on December 30 and the White Feather Boutique, also located on Denmark Street, which announced they will close at the end of this month.

Limerick Live understands that workers at L’Occitane en Provence are "quite upset" about the closure, as the store would have marked their 21st year of trading in the city in June if they remained open.
