Ryanair has launched its Winter 2024 schedule to and from Shannon Airport, with 17 routes, including exciting city breaks destinations, like Budapest, Edinburgh, Krakow, Liverpool, London, and Manchester, as well as winter sun hotspots, like Alicante, Lanzarote, Malaga, and Tenerife.

Ryanair has also added extra flights to its five most popular routes to and from Shannon for this winter season – Kaunas, Krakow, London, Manchester, and Tenerife.

Ryanair’s Shannon Winter 2024 schedule will operate on the airline’s thre Shannon-based aircraft – two of which are enviro efficient B-737 Gamechangers which cut CO2 emissions by 16% and noise by 40% – representing a $300m investment in Shannon, and supporting over 1,000 local jobs, while driving year-round tourism at the same time.

Speaking at the launch of Ryanair’s Winter Schedule for Shannon Airport, Mary Considine, CEO of The Shannon Airport Group said they are excited to welcome Ryanair's winter schedule, with the 17 routes and increased frequency on five key services "creating an additional seat capacity of almost 30,000, a 5% increase over last winter".

Ms Cosidine also noted that thies Tuesday marked a significant milestone as Ryanair has carried over 20 million passengers through Shannon Airport since they began their Shannon operation in 1987.

"To mark this occasion, this morning we were thrilled to present a lucky Ryanair passenger with a pair of tickets to a destination of their choice from Shannon with Ryanair," she said.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Jade Kirwan hailed this milestone as a "significant reflection of our 37+ years of operating to/from Shannon".

"During this time we have invested heavily in the region, including our three Shannon-based aircraft which represent a $300m investment and support over 1,000 local jobs, as well as our €10m state-of-the art maintenance facility – our first in Ireland – that created a further 200 high skill, high paid jobs in the region," she continued.
