Limerick woman Sarah Lavin after competing in the women's 100m hurdles semi-final during day three of the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 on Monday
LIMERICK sprint hurdler Sarah Lavin has missed out on a place in the final of the women's 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
Lisnagry woman Lavin finished in fourth place in her semi-final in a time of 12.86 at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo on Monday afternoon.
The top two from each race qualified, with fastest two times also progressing.
The result saw Lavin claim a 13th place overall at the World Championships.

Afterwards Lavin told RTE Sport: "To be perfectly honest, that performance is below my standards, I still know that 13th in the world is good."
