THE 123.ie National Juveniles Track & Field Championships took place last weekend at Tullamore Harriers Athletics Club in Offaly.
Chelsea Malejeva (Dooneen AC) competed in the U13 girls shot put finishing in a strong 5th position throwing 9.26m.
Charlie Smith (Limerick AC) was 4th in his heat of the U13 boys 80m narrowly missing out of qualification for the final.
Gabriella O’Neil (Limerick AC) finished 3rd in her heat of the U13 girls 80m qualifying for the final where she came 7th running 11.18 seconds.
Sarah Tobin (Limerick AC) competed in the U14 girls 80m showing a strong performance in her heat and ultimately finishing 8th overall.
Caitlin Garvey (Dooneen AC) won a bronze medal in the U14 girls 2000m walk.
Jay Collins (Dooneen AC) came 5th in the U15 boys 100m clocking 12.44 seconds missing out on the medals by four tenths of a second.

Gyte Andrijauskaite (Dooneen AC) is once again a national champion this time winning the U15 girl's shotput with a throw of 11.91m.
Adam Laffan (Dooneen AC) competed in the U15 boy's javelin with a best throw of 25.20m.
Jamie Devlin (Emerald AC) and Jake Barclay (Dooneen AC) competed in the U15 boy's long jump. Jamie jumped 5.55m to come 5th, and Jake jumped 5.05m for 8th.
Isbéal Ni Huigín (Dooneen AC) competed in the U16 girls 100m finishing 3rd in her heat in 13.11 seconds.
Ella-Grace Osborne (Dooneen AC) finished third in the U17 girls 3000m in a new pb of 10.07m.
Niamh Hynes (Dooneen AC) ran in the U17 girls 400 finishing 4th in her heat in a time of 62.03 seconds.
Rhys Mccoy (West Limerick AC) and Josh Devlin (Emerald AC) both competed in the U17 boys 100 - both finished 5th in their heats. Josh also competed in the long jump where he finished 5th overall jumping 5.88m.
Emer Purtill (Dooneen AC) had a win the U17 girls shot put throwing 14.51m.
Shannon Nyambi (Limerick AC) competed in the U18 girls 400. Shannon finished 6th in the final clocking 62.61 seconds.
Kieran O’Connor (West Limerick AC) and Rian Collins (Dooneen AC) competed in the U18 boys 100. Kieran finished 2nd in his heat in 11.69 seconds and Rian finished 4th in his in 11.70 seconds.
Éanna Ni Huigín (Dooneen AC) put in a strong performance to finish 2nd in her heat of the U18 girls 100. In the final Éanna finished 4th missing out on the medals by a tenth of a second.
Róise Gavan (Limerick AC) was a strong 2nd in her heat of the U19 girls 100. She went on to finish 4th in the final.
Charlie Smith and Patrick Keogh (both Limerick AC) finished 4th and 7th respectively in the U13 boys 60m hurdle final.
Zara Coman and Elaine Considine (both Limerick AC) finished 4th and 3rd in their heats in the U13 girls 60m hurdles.
Nessa Halpin Colclough (West Limerick AC) finished 5th in the U13 girl's long jump. Nessa jumped out to 4.45m.
Gabriella O’Neil ran in the U13 girl’s 600m coming 4th in a time of 1.40.
In the U13 boys 600m Jack Ryan (Limerick AC) ran 1.41.
Lavr Malejevs and Adas Andrijauskas (both Dooneen AC) competed in the U14 boy's discus. Lavr won throwing a championship record of 50.35m. Adas finished 4th with a throw of 31.30m. Lavr came back in the afternoon to throw the shot put out to 14.91m to win the boys shot put competing the throws double.
Sarah Tobin finished 3rd in her heat of the U14 girls 75m hurdles.
In the U14 boys 800m Killian Coman (Limerick AC) won a silver medal in a time of 2.08 minutes.
Jay Collins finished 4th in the U15 boys 80m hurdles just two hundredths of a second off the bronze medal.
Darragh Whelan (Limerick AC) continued his impressive streak winning the U15 boys 800.
John Farrell (Limerick AC) competed in the U16 boys 800m.
Megan O’Shea (Dooneen AC) and Aine Frawley (St Marys AC) ran in the U17 girls 100m hurdles. Megan won bronze. Aine got up for 4th.
Aidan Dillon (Limerick AC) competed in the U17 boys 800m.
In the U17 boys pole vault Josh Devlin won gold with a vault of 2.75m.
Meabh Purtill (Dooneen AC) won the U18 girls long jump with a jump of 5.59m.
Patrick Mulcahy (West Limerick AC) competed in the U18 boys 800m.
