Limerick sprint hurdler Sarah Lavin
LIMERICK sprint hurdler Sarah Lavin ran a season's best in the women's 100m hurdles at the Golden Spike meeting in Czechia on Tuesday evening.
Lisnagry woman Lavin clocked a 0.2 second season's best of 12.76 to take third in the women's 100m hurdles in the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series in Ostrava.
The race was won by world record holder Tobi Amusan, who ran a time of 12.45.

Amusan finished 0.3 seconds ahead of second-placer Viktoria Forster, of Slovakia, who edged out 31-year-old Lavin for the runner-up spot in 12.74.
Emerald AC athlete Lavin's previous season's best had been 12.90, which she set in Finland four days ago.
Lavin will return to the track in the European Team Championships in Slovenia this weekend, where she will compete in the 100m hurdles and women's 4x100m.
The Limerick woman will later be targetting the World Championships, which take place in Tokyo from 13-21 September.
