The Dooradoyle-based artist released his new album late August
DOORADOYLE artist, Rob Harley, invites listeners to explore the intricacies of human heartache with his new album.
The collection of eclectic tracks, Big Tree, was released on August 25.
Traversing a spectrum of genres, Rob's latest album touches on the depths of emotion and nature's innocence.
Rob's journey towards Big Tree began almost two years ago, and it has been nothing short of a labour of love and creativity.
Under the seasoned guidance of producer and drummer Christian Best (Mick Flannery, Suson O’Neill), Rob's musical vision flourished into a stunning reality.
Speaking of the collaborative process, Rob said: "It was a great opportunity to be able to work with Christian, and a great experience.
"He introduced me to some fantastic session musicians. We started the process by laying down my guitar and vocal as a guide and built on the songs from there. Christian and I would converse over ideas and interesting effects we could use, but he definitely had a vision of the end product of every song."
Rob added: “Big Tree is not just an album, but a musical journey that has spanned time and one of my life's milestones. This collection of songs carries the essence of collaboration and spontaneity, with some tracks taking shape in the studio itself.
While not all of these compositions found their place in the album, they remain a testament to my artistic evolution.”
