Newcastle West native Claire O'Riordan will be lining out for MSV Duisburg against FFC Frankfurt tomorrow night in Germany's Frau Bundesliga, but she thankfully took some time out of her hectic schedule to chat to Leader Sport about the experience of the return to play following the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 25 year old former Wexford Youths star, who only won her first of fifteen Irish caps at senior level, chats about live in Germany, her career to date, what the future holds and what advice she would give to aspiring sports people, who like her, might not be selected on Irish squads the 'whole way up'.
One of the more fascinating angle to her career is also discussed whereby O'Riordan now finds herself as a central defender, having started her career as a forward.
