MUNSTER travel to Parma this weekend to face Zebre in a crucial Guinness PRO14 fixture this Sunday, 3.30pm, as the competition resumes.
The province’s defence coach JP Ferreira indicated that a decision on whether Conor Murray would feature against Zebre will be made after he participates in squad training this week. The same applied to centre Chris Farrell who has not featured for the province since sustaining a knee injury while in Ireland camp last February.
Ferreira said: “He’s (Conor Murray) in the same boat as Chris Farrell, training, he’s on the pitch. He has gone through extensive rehab, and getting him physically ready and getting him contact ready.
“We haven’t made a call on that, he’s just got to get through training an it’s got to be the all clear for him from us and then obviously the Irish camp has got a big say in that as well.
“He (Chris Farrell) is certainly training and he is training well. We haven’t made any final calls on him, he has just got to get through training and we’ll see what comes. That will be up to the medical staff, they’ll give us that picture when we select the team and Johann (van Graan) will obviously have the call on that.”
