WATCH: Limerick fans erupt as hero hurlers win four-in-a-row

THE CLOSEST thing to Croke Park on Sunday was Pery Square in Limerick city as hundreds of hurling fans braved the rain to watch the boys in green take on the Kilkenny.

There was a sense of nervousness in the crowd as the whistle blew on the first half but the crowd tried their best to make sure they could be heard from Dublin.

Young and old could be seen dancing and jumping for joy as the final whistle blew and Limerick were crowned All-Ireland champions for the fourth year in a row.

Excitement has been building in the city for weeks, and hundreds of fans made sure not to miss any of Sunday's action.

Limerick Live spoke to fans after the match to chat about the big win.
