LIMERICK minor hurlers have progressed to the All-Ireland quarter-finals after securing a convincing 1-20 to 0-15 preliminary quarter-final win over Wexford at FBD Semple Stadium, Thurles on Saturday.
The Donal O'Grady-managed Limerick side will now join Waterford, Clare and Galway in the hat for the quarter-final draw which is due to take place at the start of next week.
Na Piarsaigh sharpshooter Shane Waters racked up an impressive 0-14, including 0-5 from play, as Limerick, who secured one win in the round robin phase of the Munster championship, deservedly progressed to the next round of the All-Ireland series.

Monagea's Conor Hough struck for a well-taken second half goal which sealed the Shannonsiders' place in the quarter-finals.
