WATCH: 'We still have plenty to work on' says Effin hurling manager Adrian Barrett

Despite the 2-21 to 1-16 victory over Granagh Ballingarry, Effin still have plenty to improve on, says manger Barrett

"WE still have plenty to work on over the next two weeks, especially our accuracy when it comes to shooting." This was Effin hurling manager Adrian Barrett's response to his sides 2-21 to 1-16 victory over Granagh-Ballingarry in the fifth round of the Lyons of Limerick County Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship.

Despite the large amount of wides that Effin clocked up in the game they were confident winners in the end with a stellar first-half performance which won the game for them in the end.

Speaking after the win Barrett went on to say: "We are very pleased with that game, you couldn't ask for a better start to the game from the lads and now hopefully we have one foot in a possible semi-final hopefully with two games to go but we have to focus again for Newcastle West, they seem to be the team to beat at the moment."

Effin currently sit in second place in the championship table with Newcastle West sitting in first place with a current 100% record in the campaign so far. The top of the table clash between the two sides will take place on the weekend of September 19.
