LIMERICK hurling manager John Kiely stated that the Munster Final victory over Clare in FBD Semple Stadium today, Sunday, "felt like the first win" in a Munster final as his side made history in becoming the first every hurling team to win six consecutive Munster finals in a row.
The Shannonsiders were deserving victors on the day running out the victory on a scoreline 1-26 to 1-20 with a vital second-half goal from Gearoid Hegarty in the second-half sealing the win.
Limerick will now go straight through to the semi-final of the All-Ireland Hurling Championship in Croke Park on Sunday, July 7 as they await the results of upcoming quarter-finals to determine their opponents.
