WATCH: New tourism film promotes Limerick’s different kind of energy

LIMERICK City and County Council have introduced a dynamic new tourism video showcasing the vibrant charm of Limerick.

The energetic, fun and fast-paced video will have widespread visibility, with promotion across television and social media.

It will also feature at a number of events taking place nationally and internationally showcasing Limerick’s rich culture, warm hospitality, top-tier visitor experiences, and lively nightlife.

It has been jointly produced by the council’s Marketing and Communications Department alongside the Economic Development, Enterprise, and Tourism Department.

An Irish language version of the video premiered during coverage of Munster’s URC clash with Glasgow Warriors on TG4 on Friday night, December 1.

Set to the popular musical track 'Jenny' by the talented Limerick group Hermitage Green, the video seeks to inspire people to choose Limerick for their next visit, casting a spotlight on the county's unparalleled range of attractions and activities.

The film's narrative thread hangs on Limerick’s different kind of energy, leaving every visitor revitalised and refreshed.

The innovative visuals communicate that Limerick is a destination with the power to energise and transform in unexpected ways.

It is a place shaped by makers, creators, and storytellers where fine art and street art collide.

People who embody Limerick’s unique character and energy, bring the visual story to life as the viewer is taken on a lively trip around iconic landmarks including King John’s Castle, the International Rugby Experience, Limerick Greenway, Lough Gur, Limerick City Gallery of Art, Treaty City Brewery, Limerick Milk Market and Wickham Way among many other attractions.

Whether exploring our rich history or contemporary culture, Limerick offers inspiration around every corner.

Director for Economic Development, Enterprise, and Tourism Gordon Daly commented; “We are thrilled to unveil Limerick's newest tourism video. It is a vibrant showcase of our distinctive and diverse visitor experiences. This film encapsulates the essence of Limerick, filmed at iconic locations, not only highlighting our rich history and contemporary culture but also emphasising the energy that defines us.
