WATCH: Limerick manager John Kiely on their Munster Hurling League win over Clare

LIMERICK'S senior hurlers got 2024 off to a winning start when they came out the right side of a 2-21 to 1-19 scoreline in their Co-op Superstores Munster Hurling League game with Clare in Clarecastle on Wednesday night.

Goals in either half from Cathal O'Neill and Luke Flynn propelled Limerick to the comfortable victory and they will reach the final of the competition if they see off Cork in their next game.

Despite the victory, Limerick manager John Kiely emphasised that there is a huge amount of work to be done when he spoke to reporters after the game.
