WATCH: Draw for Limerick’s All Time Great reveals head to heads
THE draw to determine match ups in the search to find Limerick’s All Time Great has taken place and the competition will now begin.
Sixteen people were selected from hundreds of nominations and a series of online polls pitting our nominees head-to-head at quarter-final, semi-final and final stage over the coming weeks will now start.
The polls will ask you, the reader, to determine who is Limerick’s All Time Great.
Watch the video to see the draw, with the match ups listed below. The polls will run until Friday.
“As you can see, a fantastically varied list of 16 names has been assembled, from business, charity, sport, entertainment, politics and historical - generations of people who have contributed greatly to local life in this county and this recognises their work,” explained Eugene Phelan, editor of The Limerick Leader.
A huge thank you to our sponsors, Specsavers, Lyons of Limerick, McMahons Builders Providers, Thomond Asset Management, Limerick Tutorial College and the Crescent Shopping Centre.
