They came in hope

They came in hope and even confidence ... but they left in absolute raptures of joy!

The Limerick supporters who arrived in their tens of thousands at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday witnessed one of the most memorable occasions in GAA history at the famous old ground, with the county hurlers capturing the Munster championship by beating Cork convincingly.

Limerick have now advanced to the All-Ireland semi-final at Croke Park in August and hopes are high that after 40 years of pain, a first All-Ireland since 1973 could be delivered.
