THE sun shone brightly and a bumper turnout took to the Shannon on Saturday for the 2013 Thomond Swim, a demanding 1.8km course running through the heart of the city.
Among the participants, above, was Vanessa Dawson, who ensured that she would capture memories of her participation by strapping a camera to her swimcap!
The route began at O’Callaghan Strand, up under Sarsfield Bridge, past the Curragower Falls to the Treaty Stone, right towards King John’s Castle before finishing back at St Michael’s Boat Club.
