PICTURES: Bruff and Blackrock face off in Premier IHC

FOR both Blackrock and Bruff, this Lyons of Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship round 1 clash was a case of a point gained.

In each of the last three seasons, the fourth and final semi-final spot has been determined by either score-difference or head-to-head in a championship that historically has been extremely competitive.

A wind-assisted Blackrock led 0-13 to 0-6 at the interval and were able to weather the inevitable Bruff rally to get off the mark - just about.

The 2026 Premier IHC got underway across the weekend. Murroe-Boher and Dromin-Athlacca were the only victors of the four games. Croagh-Kilfinny and Effin were the other teams to draw their games.
