A US MINOR hurling team touch down on Irish soil this Thursday with a full schedule ahead of them over the coming days. The New York U17 side begin their trip with a blitz in Monaleen tomorrow evening.

Limerick man Eamonn Ryan is a selector with the group that plays against Monaleen and his home club Ballybricken-Bohermore in the first leg of their tour.

A visit to Causeway in Kerry is on the agenda and then it's onto Caramore in Galway for games against Sligo, Roscommon and Mayo. The group also hopes to take in the double header of All-Ireland quarter-finals at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Saturday.

A total of 24 American born hurlers will become the first New York hurling development team to play in Limerick and Ireland when they arrive in the country tomorrow.
