Limerick name team for Sunday's hurling league clash with Galway
LIMERICK manager John Kiely has made three changes to his team that faces Galway in the Allianz Hurling League on Sunday at Pearse Stadium.
Into the starting lineup from the Clare victory come Barry Nash, William O'Donoghue and Tom Morrissey, while Fergal O'Connor, David Reidy and Gearoid Hegarty miss out. Nash and O'Donoghue are included for the first time this season.
Hegarty and O'Connor are on the bench but Reidy misses out due to injury. Na Piarsaigh's Conor Boylan could also make his first appearance of 2023 having also been named among the replacements.
Nickie Quaid makes his second start of the Allianz Hurling League behind a full-back line of Sean Finn, Richie English and Nash. It is an unchanged half-back line with Ciarán Barry, Dan Morrissey and Kyle Hayes.
Darragh O'Donovan and O'Donoghue renew their All-Ireland midfield winning partnership, while Tom Morrissey joins Cian Lynch and Michéal Houlihan in the half-forward line. Lynch also retains the captaincy in Declan Hannon's absence.
The full-forward line that started against Clare also stays in place, with Shane O'Brien, Seamus Flanagan and Peter Casey getting another chance to impress.
Limerick's game with Galway in Salthill has a 2:30pm throw-in and is live on TG4.
