CAMOGUE ROVERS
Gaelic Football
Our Premier Junior footballers' season came to an unfortunate end last week against Athea in the county quarter final. A disappointing result but reaching the quarter final in the first year up to this grade is a good achievement. Well done to all players and management for their dedication all year long. Well done also to the Junior C squad and management who have also now completed their season. To all supporters, thank you very much! Next up for the club is the u21 football championship in November. All up to date fixtures are available on Facebook page or club WhatsApp group. Email club secretary to be added.
Recycling
There is now an orange Deposit Returns Bin inside the gate of the field for plastic bottles and cans. The club will gather any bottles collected and use funds to help with upkeep of the walkway and playing fields.
Split The Pot
The club continues to run a Split The Pot every month. The next draw is Monday 26th October. The fundraiser is vital to the running of the club and will contribute to planned field and walkway development works. The Facebook page and WhatsApp group will share details on how to enter. Contact any club member for more information.
Walkway
The club are currently completing grant applications to enable development and improvement of the walkway at the pitch. It remains open for use for people in the community however we urge all dog owners to keep dogs on a leash and to please clean up after them when necessary.
Club Meeting
All members are invited to a club meeting in the hall on Thursday 22nd October at 7.30 pm. This is to discuss, and share updates on, intended development works to the field along with a walkway with lighting for use by the whole community.

Ladies Football
On Sunday last the intermediate Ladies team travelled to Knocklong for the County final against Knockainy having prepared well for the occasion. Hopes were high for success. In a windswept and first class entertaining game scores were hard to come by, Galtee Gaels led at half time 0-6 to 0-3. Shortly after the restart Knockainy scored 1-1. It took the half way stage for Galtee Gaels to get their score, shortly after they went into a one point lead which was to be their last score Knockainy got the last three points to run out winners on the score of 1-8 to 0-9.
U14
Our U14 boy’s team fell to a heavy defeat to Ballybrown in the County final played at Fedamore on Saturday morning. While defeat was their lot the lads can be proud of some excellent performances along the way and some great individual displays. Huge thanks to the management team for all their hard work during the season.

A tough end to the championship campaign for Monaleen, but plenty to be proud of after a year of great progress. Although the result didn't go our way, it has been a season of brilliant progress and memorable performances. Full credit and thanks to the players and management team for their hard work and commitment all year long, and a big thank you to all our supporters for their fantastic backing throughout the season.

PATRICKSWELL
Junior Hurling
Patrickswell edged out Staker Wallace in the Premier Junior B County semi-final. The opening fifteen minutes were a dogged battle as Staker Wallace built a 0-5 to 0-3 lead (Peter Harty 0-2 and Darragh Ahern). Peter Harty's goal put Patrickswell ahead for the first time, but the interval scoreline was level at 1-6 to 0-9 after Nigel Foley's three points were exceeded by Staker Wallace's four scores. Once again, the beginning of the second half was nip and tuck. Three more points were exchanged (Nigel Foley 0-2 and Darragh Ahern) before Peter Harty claimed his second goal. Patrickswell were 2-9 to 0-12 ahead, but fell behind to four unanswered points from Staker Wallace. The 'Well rallied strongly to notch four straight points and secure a hard fought 2-13 to 0-16 victory (Nigel Foley 0-2, Paddy Gardiner and Peter Harty).
Junior Football
A depleted Patrickswell surrendered its perfect 100% record in the final group match at Ahane. Our hosts scored a goal within two minutes, but we rallied with five unanswered points from David Woulfe 0-2, Eoin Harmon, Briain Og O'Sullivan and Francis McAuliffe. Ahane equalised with two points, but Eoin Harmon's goal gave Patrickswell a 1-5 to 1-2 half-time lead. The second half began poorly as Ahane accrued a goal and four points to move ahead by four points at 2-6 to 1-5. Francis McAuliffe's goal set up an exciting finale, but Ahane outstayed Patrickswell to win by 2-9 to 2-7 (late points from Francis McAuliffe and David Woulfe).
