PICTURES: Bruff and Blackrock produce enthralling Limerick PIFC tie

Darragh Butler was the hero as Bruff defeated Blackrock in a tense encounter in Kilmallock to book a place in the Premier IHC final

DARRAGH Butler hit a 64th-minute winner to break Blackrock hearts as Bruff reached the Lyons of Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship final with a 1-18 to 1-17 win.

Saturday's clash in Kilmallock looked to be headed to extra time when Colm O’Keeffe struck over a free with the three allotted minutes of injury time all but up.

But there was time for a last twist in the tale and Butler - who opened the scoring with a goal after just 35 seconds, got the last gasp point over an hour later to set up a final against Dromin-Athlacca.

Photographer Brendan Gleeson was on hand to capture all of the colour and excitement from last weekend’s clash.
