FITZGIBBON CUP holders the University of Limerick will renew rivalries with TUS Midwest after the draw for the higher education competition was made today.

UL are current champions and have also been paired with ATU Galway in Group B of the competition. The trio were also paired in the same group for the 2022/23 competition. UL had big wins over both on their run to their eighth ever title.

Elsewhere, Mary Immaculate College Limerick have been drawn alongside UCC and Maynooth University in Group A of the Fitzgibbbon Cup.

The Jamie Wall managed Mary I side failed to get out of their group last season after drawing with SETU Carlow and losing to DCU. The competition is expected to begin in the middle of next month.

In the Sigerson Cup, last year's losing finalists UL will play ATU Donegal in the opening round of the gaelic football higher education premier competition.
