IT'S CRUNCH time in the Irish Wire Products Limerick SFC with several knockout places up for grabs from this week's final round of group fixtures.

Things are straightforward in Group One with holders Newcastle West already assured of top spot and a place in the semi-final.

Kildimo-Pallaskenry and Fr Casey's have qualified for the quarter-finals. Those teams meet to decide second and third place, while the Magpies face Oola.

Claughaun need to beat St Kieran's to have any hope of avoiding the relegation play-off but their scoring difference of -32 puts them at a distinct disadvantage. All fixtures in this group take place on Saturday evening at 6pm.

It's much more open in Group Two where Adare are favourites to advance to the last four. They will be expected to see off bottom of the table Ballylanders in their re-fixed game on Tuesday evening in Kilmallock and overcome Ballysteen on Sunday to top the table.

Monaleen are effectively already in the quarter-finals but a win over Galtee Gaels would make that 100% confirmed. Na Piarsaigh and Ballysteen are in the running for the other last eight place.

Ballylanders remain rooted to the bottom of the group and will need to beat Na Piarsaigh and hope other results go their way if they are to avoid the relegation play-off.

The games on Sunday have 2pm starts and the quarter-finals are due to take place on October 6/7.
